Based around the skills of Rob Rayner and Sally Pearson with 25 years experience working in music, drama and dance within the Performing Arts sector, Playing Card Productions offer a genuinely live music and performance experience: real musicians, singers and actors performing live. No backing tracks, no unnecessary special effects, just real performers doing what they do best and with a great range of varied products. Based in Market Harborough in the UK and the Perigord Vert when in France, but able to travel both nationally and internationally, Rob and Sally work with a range of other top professional performers to create all of the products you will find on our website. 2 Of Diamonds
With 2 of Diamonds you get all the advantages of an acoustic duo : limited space requirements, the ability to move around a venue, able to play with or without amplification; with a surprisingly full sound and a massive range of materials going through songs from the present day right back to the 1960s, instrumental covers, Irish and Scottish jigs, jazz and classical pieces.
3 Of Clubs
Our three piece band consists of Rob, Sally with Justine on vocals too. This enables the musicians to have more complex vocal harmonies and that slightly larger sound than the 2 of Diamonds can achieve. The material covered by this band again covers a large range of songs and contrasting styles of music.
The Card Players
Our function/pub band can consist of anything from 3 to 5 members with prices varying according to how many of us are playing. The 3 person version has guitar, violin and drums with twin vocals playing a range of covers from the 70s, 80s, 90.s and the present, irish songs and jigs guaranteed to get people up, dancing and singing along. 3 piece – Violin, guitar, drums. 4 piece – Violin, guitar, bass, drums. 5 piece – Violin, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums.
The Jokers
An exciting, modern ceilidh band playing Irish and Scottish jigs with our own twist make The Jokers ideal for weddings, parties, Burns Night or St Patricks Day. Ceilidhs are great for breaking the ice and getting people up dancing and mingling. We teach the dances and provide the calling too giving it our own unique sense of fun and energy.
BlackJack Theatre
Based on almost ten years experience performing in South West France to local ex-pat communities,we are now also able to offer Murder Mysteries. Many of you will have attended or taken part in a murder mystery at some point. This is our normal format: a team of professional actors will perform a scene for you which leads to the murder.
